Abstract

Transcatheter aortic valve implantation (TAVI) is a less invasive procedure to treat severe aortic valve stenosis than conventional surgical aortic valve replacement. Furthermore, TAVI has shown similar clinical outcomes as surgical treatment with less mortality and morbidities in elderly patients at high risk for conventional surgery. In this report, we describe case of successful TAVI using a CoreValve in a 103-year-old patient with symptomatic severe aortic valve
stenosis.
